1.Importer Exporter Code(IEC): For spices export business you must need a valid IE code which represents an individual export and import. IEC is mandatory for both import and export business. It is a 10 digit code which is issued by Directorate General of Foreign Trade. You can apply online for IEC number. It is easy to apply on www.dgft.gov.in.   • Current bank account.
  • Bank certificate regarding IEC.
  • PAN Number copy.
  • Application fee Rs. 250 pay via EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer), and Submit an online application.

2. Phytosanitory Certificate: Phytosanitory is a document which is used to attest the consignments which is related to plant or its products. It is issued by National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO). Phytosanitory certificate is issued to indicate that the products are related to plant and plant products. 3. Certificate of Registration as Exporter of Spices(CRES): For spices export business, you must require to register with spices board India. There are following documents you need for CRES Registration:

  • A valid IE Code. (Apply IEC Code)
  • D.D – Rs. 5000 Fee for registration to be paid in favour of spice board payable at Eanakulam/Kochi.
  • Scanned passport size photo (of size 135 PX x 165 PX)of the CEO/ Authorized person of organization.
  • Valid mail Id.

4. Authorized Dealer code: For AD Code, you need to open a current account. Authorized Dealer code is a 14 digit code which is issued by bank. After AD Code registration, you need to register it with custom for port registration. Governments of India gives some drawbacks to Authorized Dealer for export business promotion. You need following documents for AD code registration with custom:

  • PAN Copy.
  • IEC Copy.
  • IT Returns.
  • VAT Registration copy.
  • Ad code letter. (Please change the name of port as required)
  • Balance sheet.
  • Stamped blank letter head.
  • Registration charges for port registration isĀ  INR 3,000.00 per registration + service tax.
